This Botanica collection is a study of the beauty of nature and the silhouettes we see when we examine botanicals with a more curious perspective. And not only the shapes of the foliage around us, but selecting the beautiful, peaceful hues that’s are so abundant in the outdoors.
INSPIRATION BEHIND THE COLLECTION
Traveling to new places draws an abundance of inspiration. A few months ago, my husband and I traveled to the west coast of Mexico on the Pacific Ocean and stayed in the most beautiful bungalows in the Mexican jungle. Suspended above the ground in our treehouse bungalow, we were surrounded by a lush array of tropical foliage. One night, the moonlight cast shadows of the surrounding botanicals onto our windows and I immediately took a photo and inspiration struck. We often enjoy the world around us as a whole, but there is abundant beauty in dissecting subjects into simplistic forms or color and silhouette.
